Has Been Awarded The Prestigious Tagore National Fellowship For Cultural Research (TNFCR) By The Ministry Of Culture, India ๐ฅ
As per the Minutes of the National Selection Committee Meeting under the Scheme of Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research (TNFCR), Batch Year 2019-20,ย Kulguru Shri Bharat Ratna Bhargava has been awarded the prestigious Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research (TNFCR) by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Kulguru Shri Bhargava โTagore National Fellow” last served as Deputy Secretary, Sangeet Natak Akademi, India. The โTagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research (TNFCR)โ is awarded by the Ministry of Culture to a โlegendโ in his area of work who has made a significant contribution to knowledge. During his two-year Tagore Fellowship, Shri Bharat Ratna Bhargava will work on the proposed Project- Natyashastriya Parampara Aur Natya Prayog (Vishesh Sandarbha: Hindi Rangmanch)
Shri Bharat Ratna Bhargava was born in 1938. He had completed his education of M.A. Hindi from Rajasthan University (1963) and he is Regd. Research Scholar for a Ph.D. on Contemporary Indian Theatre (1964 โ 67). He felt proud when he was a lecturer of Hindi at L.B.S. College, Rajasthan University (1967-71).
He was a part of the Summer Theatre Course at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London. He had also attended National School of Drama, Delhi under Shri Abrahim Elkazi.
Shri Bhargava is a renowned theatre professional having 40+ years of teaching and writing experience in multiple fields of Theatre, including literature and broadcasting.
He is an established Critic and a recognized scholar on Natyashastra and Indian theatre. He has acted, directed many plays and has translated, adapted numerous Sanskrit and other regional language plays into Hindi.
He has served as a professor (Hindi Literature) in Rajasthan University, Program Executive at All India Radio, Producer of Hindi Programs at B.B.C London and Deputy Secretary (Drama), Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, India. Recipient of many awards and honours, he is Kulguru at Natyakulam, Jaipur, an institution devoted to training in Indian theatre. At present, he is working with visually impaired children for theatre in Jaipur, India
